Overview
The Beery snaffle bit, now made by Weaver, is an old bit that is making a great come back. Depending on where you snap your reins, there is three severity adjustments. This is a great bit for green horses and basic training. In the photo it is being used on a Paso Fino in conjunction with a Jaquima.

My father has an original Beery Bit which we used to train every horse on the place. He would not let me have it when I left home and went out on my own. I was delighted to find that Weaver has started making it again. I use it on all my young Paso Fino trainees when transitioning to a bit. It is an awesome tool. And after all these years I have found out about the different severities of the bit.
