Overview

In Stock and Ready to Go

New J. M. Yancey Saddle for your Paso Fino. This saddle was made by Willie Kurth of Fine Walk LLC. This saddle has a 16" seat. Chestnut in color with a black seat made of Motor Cycle Seat leather. No Horn.

The Yancey saddle was developed by James Yancey by trying his wooden tree on more than 200 Paso Finos. It passed the fit test for over 90% of them. Some say it is a McClellan tree, but it is actually a tree formed to look somewhat like the McClellan but made to fit the shorter backed Gaited Horse. You can see one of the trees in the photo with Mr. Kurth.

We have used and sold this saddle for over 6 years. It has fit most of our Paso Finos well. The Fine Walk saddle pad made just for the Yancey Saddle is felt and Cordura. We also sell a nice square English pad by Skito that goes well with the Yancey saddle or a Stonewall Skito that fits well. Click Here to check them out.

The Yancey Saddle has a Center Fire Rigging. It keeps the saddle pressure even from front to back. A crupper and breast collar insures you do not have to have your saddle overly tight even on steep hills. This gives extra support to your horse and is an exellent idea for your safety.

We own 2 Yancey saddles. Both my husband and I would not be without one. The saddles are well made with high quality leather and finished nicely. We have quite a few Paso Finos and over the years, have had this saddle fit and work for 90% of them. The saddles are very comfortable and allow you to sit properly and feel your horse. My horses have really appreciated these saddles. We ride primarily on trail, but the saddles are nice enough to be used in a show. I would not be without my Yancey saddle. Give one a try. You will be glad you did.
