Overview
This beautiful set is made of 5/16" Nylon Rope and Leather. The places where the leather and nylon come together are beautifully crocheted. The noseband is firm but mild and the curb (chinstrap) is hard. The hardware is Chrome. This would be a nice training, show, or trail Jaquima. The bit hanger has buckles to attach the bit. The Pisador comes together under the throat and has a nice knot to keep it from slipping too tight and choking your horse. Great Set at a Great Price. This will work on other breeds besides the Paso Fino. Check the measurements to be sure of fit.
- Bit Hanger Extends out to 40 inches.
- Headstall on the Jaquima extends out to 39".
- The noseband is 14" from outside edge of ring to edge of ring.
- The Barbada or chin strap extends out to 11"
- The Pisador or Neck Rope, is built into the headstall and extends 19' from the Barbada

Hi Gail: got the jaquima yesterday and tried it out today on one of the horses between rainstorms. Notice that I have much more control than with just a straight sidepull. Not sure if I have it adjusted correctly but will play with that. I really like the reins that are much shorter than the ones I have been using. Will take some getting used to two reins instead of one and the pisador is going to be very handy in the bush. Now I don't have to ride with a halter on and carry a lead line in my saddle bags which I never have room for anyway. Thanks very much.
